Wikipedia, an open, comprehensive, and accessible compilation of knowledge, provides links to high quality scientific articles, including many that used to be available only through subscriptions to scientific journals.

Wikipedia is a highly used resource for discovering health information, including mental health resources. In conjunction with the National Library of Medicine’s #citeNLM Wikipedia Edit-a-thon initiative, OpenUCLA is holding its first Wikipedia edit-a-thon focusing on Mental Health on November 20th, 2019. Please join us to improve mental health information online by citing open resources such as open access journals, National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health resources, and more. UCLA Librarians from the Biomedical Library and the National Network of Libraries of Medicine Pacific Southwest Region will be present to lead you through the process of creating an account and adding evidence-based resources to improve the quality of health information throughout Wikipedia.
