A celebration of 100 years

in one unforgettable year.

Join us at over a dozen free community events and activities throughout the year commemorating 100 years of UCLA. Events range from free community concerts, to a 6–mile open streets celebration in downtown LA with CicLAvia, to a day of service led by the UCLA Volunteer Center with 100 sites across LA and around the world. Additional events will be added and unveiled throughout the year.

This annual summertime celebration recognizes the contributions of UCLA staff in a relaxed social setting. Now in its 15th year, this year’s All-Staff Picnic will be held in Dickson Court between 11:30 AM – 1:30 P.M., and includes a picnic lunch, music and dancing. Attendees are welcomed by the UCLA Chancellor and the UCLA Staff Assembly President.  Complimentary tickets for the picnic lunch are available at various campus locations a few weeks prior to the event date.

Each summer, over 60,000 Angelenos of all ages and backgrounds gather in historic MacArthur Park to enjoy free live music. Join us for a free community concert under the stars as La Sonora Dinamita, one of the most beloved and renowned cumbia groups in the world, perform on the Levitt Pavilion stage.

UCLA Volunteer Day is an annual day of service offering participants a wide-range of community service projects around the globe. Projects include sorting donations at food banks and shelters, beautifying K-12 schools, parks and neighborhoods and visiting with residents at senior centers and veterans’ facilities. Join us as we give back across 100 project sites across the city and around the globe.

Friday, March 27, 2020 to Sunday, March 29, 2020 | All Day | UCLA
This is a special multi-day event, where students from all over Southern California come to UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion to code, innovate, and compete for the best idea prototype. The end result is Southern California’s largest student hackathon: a sped-up thinktank of determined inventors with the skillsets to move the world forward.
